Please note that for a successful installation, you must have a sound structural wall for the rear fixing and, crucially, a good level ground surface (such as concrete pads or a patio) to securely anchor the front support posts.

Pre-Installation Requirements

Before beginning the installation, you must ensure you have a suitable surface for fixing the structure. This is critical for the stability and safety of the pergola.

• Rear Wall: A solid structural wall (brick, concrete, or stone) is required to secure the wall brackets. If fixing to a single-skin wall or cladding, additional internal structural support may be required.
• Ground Surface: The front support posts must be anchored to a solid, level foundation. We recommend concrete pads (approx. 400mm cube) or a substantial concrete slab. Fixing directly into paving slabs, decking, or tarmac without a concrete footing below is not recommended as these surfaces may lift under wind load.

Installation Overview

The installation process typically follows these main steps:

1. Marking Out: Accurately mark the position of the wall brackets and the front post locations on your ground surface.
2. Wall Fixing: Secure the rear cassette/wall brackets to the wall using heavy-duty masonry fixings (chemical anchors are often recommended for older brickwork).
3. Frame Assembly: Assemble the front posts and side guide rails. This framework is then lifted into position, connecting the front posts to the ground and the rails to the wall brackets.
4. Squaring & Levelling: Ensure the entire structure is perfectly square and level. This is vital for the smooth operation of the sliding roof.
5. Fabric Installation: The pre-assembled fabric roof (on crossbars) is inserted into the guide rails.
6. Cord Setup: The manual pull-cord system is threaded and tensioned, ready for operation.

• 2-Year Warranty: Covers mechanical components, moving parts, and the manual winding mechanism.

Warranty Conditions & Exclusions

This warranty covers the supply of replacement parts for any component deemed to be defective due to manufacturing faults. As this is a supply-only product for DIY installation, the warranty does not cover labour costs for removal or re-installation.

Please be aware of the following important exclusions:

• Weather Damage: The KE Saki is designed primarily as a sun shading product with rain protection capabilities. Damage caused by wind, storms, heavy snow loads, or other extreme weather events is not covered under warranty. We recommend retracting the roof during high winds or snow.
• Installation Errors: Issues arising from incorrect assembly, insufficient structural fixing to the wall, or inadequate ground foundations for the support posts are not covered.
• General Wear & Tear: Normal wear, friction marks on the fabric from operation, or cosmetic scratches incurred during use.
